Dr. Stefano Livi has 40 years of experience in the field of space instrumentation. During his career he has investigated and reconciled theories for the solar wind expansion in the heliosphere using state-of-the-art models along with assimilation of observational data; he has developed analysis techniques and models to quantify and predict plasma processes and instabilities in the Solar Wind; he has given a substantial contribution to analyzing and resolving processes related to the interaction of Solar Wind with Mercury, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn
