This project aims to promote the development of radar satellite and remote sensing image applications in Taiwan by integrating the expertise of academia and research institutions. The goal is to enhance the application of radar remote sensing technology in environmental monitoring, disaster response, and sustainable development. To achieve this, the project will establish the “Promotion Group for Radar Satellite and Remote Sensing Image Application,” drawing on the operational models of international organizations to consolidate domestic image requirements and research experience, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and technical exchange. The key objectives of this project include integrating domestic radar image research needs, establishing an image-sharing and technical exchange platform, promoting cross-disciplinary applications and policy planning, and cultivating radar remote sensing technology talent. Through cross-institutional collaboration and resource integration, this project seeks to strengthen the development of indigenous radar remote sensing applications, enhance Taiwan’s competitiveness in the international radar remote sensing field, and provide more effective technological support for environmental monitoring and disaster response.
